Central Bohemia is an administrative area in the Czech Republic situated in the original region of Bohemia. The capital of Central Bohemia is the same as the capital of the whole country – Prague. The city is located outside the Central Bohemia region and comprises it own region. Central Bohemia includes more that eighty towns and cities and has the population of about 1,2mln people. The region due to its natural and historical monuments is rightfully recognized as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Central Europe.

Central Bohemia is a very picturesque area and can boast of its natural reserves and parks. The most valuable natural reserve of Central Bohemia is Křivoklátsko, a biosphere park that is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Other important natural beauties of Central Bohemia include Bohemian Karst and Bohemian Paradise. In addition to the magnificent landscapes Central Bohemia can offer its tourists many historical architectural monuments. There are also several sites that are recognized by the UNESCO as the world’s important places.
